Welcome
Welcome to the Single Family Energy Efficiency Technical Assistance and Verification Program. This program is a part of Minnesota Housing's ongoing commitment to energy efficiency and green building standards. The Center for Sustainable Building Research is administrating the program for Minnesota Housing.
Minnesota Housing is launching this pilot program for new construction beginning with units funded through CRV in Fall of 2008. This program is intended to increase the energy efficiency of new homes. Increasing energy efficiency benefits the homeowner through lower utility bills, and the environment through reduced greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the combustion of fossil fuels. Both of these features are attractive to buyers, so the developer benefits through enhanced marketability of the completed homes.
Participation is required for Fall 2008 awardees. There is no cost for a CRV administrator to participate in the pilot program. Projects funded in previous rounds may also eligible to participate based on approval by Minnesota Housing and compliance with the energy efficiency criteria of the program.
